Dejan Djordjevic

Dejan Djordjevic, completed his college education in London, and obtained his Bachelors degree from the University of Belgrade.

He started his career with Hyatt International in 1989 when he joined Hyatt Regency Belgrade on the position of Sales Manager. He held senior Sales and Marketing management positions culminating in a promotion to Director of Marketing in 1996. He then moved into hotel operations and continued his career with Hyatt International as the Executive Assistant Manager for the Hyatt Regency Almaty, and in 2002 he was appointed the Resident Manager for one of Hyatt’s flagship hotels – The Park Hyatt Moscow. After spending just over two years in Moscow, he was appointed the General Manager of the Hyatt Regency Almaty in August 2004. His vast Sales and Marketing experience and expertise have also gained him the title of a qualified Hyatt International trainer. Throughout his career, Dejan was very active in the hospitality business and in tourism, and has participated on numerous international panel discussions on these topics. His expertise especially lies in Hotel Development and Congress Tourism, and as such has served as board member of numerous associations such as the Foreign Investors Council working group on Tourism and Image Enhancement in Kazakhstan, and the KIMEP (Kazakh University) advisory board.

He has always been extremely active in business circles, and was the Chairman of the European Business Association of Kazakhstan (EUROBAK) from 2005 to 2007. In May 2008, he was also awarded “2008 Executive of the Year Award” by the American Chamber of Commerce in Kazakhstan.
